Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the overall management of the Electrical and Instrumentation Team, and serves as the primary person accountable for the team’s quality, safety, environmental protection, and occupational health.

2. Ensure that all team members strictly adhere to workplace discipline, properly wear personal protective equipment, strengthen occupational safety measures, and cooperate with departmental management in providing safety‑production training to all employees of this team.

3. Responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all procedures related to power supply, electricity consumption, metering, and instrumentation; strictly adhere to standard operating procedures; rigorously prohibit unauthorized operations and instructions; prevent electrical accidents; and ensure that the operational availability of power supply equipment, facilities, instruments, and associated meters remains at 100%.

4. Be proficient in the operating principles of all types of electrical equipment, facilities, and instruments; be familiar with the layout of the main circuits, control circuits, and associated instrumentation for relevant equipment and facilities, and conduct regular, thorough inspections. Promptly address or report any issues discovered, and do not leave work until faults have been resolved, thereby preventing potential hazards or minor problems from escalating into major accidents. Ensure the safe and economical operation of all power supply and electrical equipment, as well as the safe and accurate functioning of all accompanying instruments and meters.

5. Guide and supervise team members to record, in a timely, meticulous, and accurate manner, the operating data of transformers, distribution panels, and other equipment and associated instruments; ensure that records are maintained or reported promptly as required; and collect and properly archive all operational records for power supply and distribution equipment and facilities.

6. Responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all electrical systems and instrumentation across the company’s equipment and facilities, including measures to prevent moisture, rain, freezing, and lightning strikes, as well as calibration and verification. Any issues that cannot be resolved shall be promptly reported and escalated; in the event of major incidents, the root causes must be thoroughly investigated, and an analytical report prepared and submitted. Actively collaborate with the production and technical departments on the modification and upgrading of electrical and instrumentation systems supporting the equipment and facilities.

7. Actively collect and properly maintain all records related to instrument calibration, maintenance, and replacement, and conduct statistical analysis. Actively participate in the installation, commissioning, and acceptance of electrical systems and instrumentation for new equipment and facilities, and diligently cooperate with the inventory of relevant consumable parts and the review of new standard operating procedures.

8. Continuously enhance professional competencies, and proactively and diligently provide training and conduct assessments for personnel engaged in electrical operations and instrumentation maintenance, particularly for new hires and those who have been reassigned to these roles.

9. Maintain cleanliness within the team’s scope of work, rigorously implement on-site management standards for maintenance and the safe operation of electrical equipment and instrumentation, and uphold a clean and comfortable working environment in accordance with 6S requirements.

10. In coordination with departmental leadership, promptly monitor key aspects such as team personnel, equipment status, electricity consumption, and instrument usage; conduct effective employee morale‑building efforts; foster open communication; manage employee relations appropriately; and convey the concerns and feedback of frontline staff.

11. Strictly comply with all company and departmental management policies, actively participate in the department’s regular safety meetings, and regularly organize team-level safety training sessions, pre-shift briefings, and post-shift reviews.

12. Firmly and on time, in the required quantity, and with assured quality, complete all tasks assigned by company leadership. For any tasks that cannot be completed, promptly report to the relevant supervisors and provide a clear explanation of the reasons, thereby ensuring effective execution.
