The company’s chairman has been elected vice president of the Municipal Charity Association! Jiuri New Materials has received multiple honors.

On August 29, 2023, the Sixth Members’ Congress of the Tianjin Charity Association was solemnly convened at the Tianjin Grand Auditorium. Sun Shaohua, Vice President of the China Charity Federation, and Zhang Ling, Vice Mayor of Tianjin, attended and addressed the meeting. The session was chaired by Shan Xiangjun, former Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Chairman of the Fifth Council of the Charity Association.

　　The conference implemented the municipal Party committee and municipal government’s directives on charitable work, summarized the experiences gained over the past five years in developing the charity sector, outlined a roadmap for its future growth, and elected the leadership of the new term of the Municipal Charity Association. Dr. Zhao Guofeng, Chairman of Jiuri New Materials, has been elected Vice President of the Sixth Council of the Tianjin Charity Association.

　　To encourage charitable excellence, highlight exemplary models of philanthropy, and promote the spirit of charity, thereby fostering a societal climate in which “everyone cherishes charity, everyone participates in it, and everyone dedicates themselves to it,” the Municipal Charity Association honored 137 organizations and individuals. Jiuri New Materials was awarded both the “Outstanding Contribution Award” and the “Flood Prevention and Disaster Relief Dedication Award.”

　　As a company with a strong sense of social responsibility and mission, Jiuri New Materials has consistently upheld its corporate social responsibilities, actively engaged in charitable initiatives, and organized a wide range of philanthropic activities. To contribute to the battle against poverty, since 2019 the company has donated over RMB 1.67 million through targeted poverty alleviation programs and rural revitalization efforts. In response to the sudden COVID‑19 outbreak at the beginning of 2020, the company promptly contributed funds and supplies for epidemic prevention and medical treatment, totaling more than RMB 3.6 million in cash donations and over RMB 140,000 worth of protective equipment. Since 2014, the company has established scholarships at Nankai University to recognize outstanding students and support those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, with cumulative donations amounting to RMB 2.1 million, and has also set up the “Jiuri New Materials–Nankai University Chemistry Development Fund,” bringing the total donations over ten years to RMB 30 million. This July, when the Hai River Basin in Tianjin was hit by an unprecedented flood, Jiuri acted swiftly upon learning of the disaster, providing immediate assistance for flood control, emergency relief, and post‑disaster recovery.
