Dr. Zhao Guofeng, Chairman of Jiuri New Materials, has been named one of the “Tianjin Development – Talent Pioneers” Top Ten Figures of the Year.

　　Recently, the “Tianjin Development·Talent Vanguard” Top Ten Annual Figures Awards Ceremony was held at the Grand Theater of the Tianjin Haihe Media Center. Dr. Zhao Guofeng, Chairman of Tianjin Jiuri New Materials Co., Ltd., was honored with this prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding contributions.

　　Dr. Zhao Guofeng is a professor at the School of Chemistry, Nankai University; a member of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League; a member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress; Vice Chairman of the Tianjin Federation of Industry and Commerce; Vice President of the Tianjin Charity Association; Vice President of the Tianjin Jinshang Federation; and President of the Tianjin Hunan Chamber of Commerce.

　　He has remained steadfast in his teaching role, actively encouraging students to engage in scientific research and publishing more than 50 scholarly papers both domestically and internationally, while securing 56 granted patents. In addition, he has undertaken numerous significant research projects, including two national-level initiatives and seven provincial- or ministerial-level programs. Through his outstanding research achievements and innovative spirit, he has been honored with the China Patent Excellence Award, the Tianjin Patent Gold Award, and the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Tianjin, among other prestigious accolades. Furthermore, he was awarded the Tianjin May Day Labor Medal in recognition of his exceptional contributions to his work.

　　Dr. Zhao Guofeng holds “serving the nation through industry” as his lofty ideal and has devoted himself to the meticulous development of the photocurable materials sector. Under his leadership, several photoinitiator products have been developed, breaking foreign technology monopolies and making significant contributions to China’s efforts to combat smog and achieve clean water and blue skies. At the same time, driven by an unwavering commitment to resolving the nation’s critical technological bottlenecks, he successfully established a project producing 600 tons per year of photo‑sensitive agents for photoresists and another project with an annual capacity of 4,500 tons of photoresists, striving to build an integrated, end-to-end industrial chain that spans from raw‑material photo‑sensitizers, monomers, resins, and auxiliary reagents to downstream photoresist products.

　　Dr. Zhao Guofeng has consistently upheld a development strategy that integrates industry, academia, research, and application, embodying through concrete actions the noble aspiration of “serving the nation through industry” and injecting strong momentum into Tianjin’s high-quality development.
