On January 2, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced the list of National Technological Innovation Demonstration Enterprises for 2023, with three companies from Tianjin making the cut. A National Technological Innovation Demonstration Enterprise is an enterprise in a key industrial sector that demonstrates strong technological innovation capabilities, achieves notable innovation outcomes, and plays a significant role as a model and guide. Such enterprises are subject to a comprehensive and systematic evaluation across multiple dimensions, including innovation investment, talent incentives, collaborative innovation, innovation workforce development, infrastructure for innovation, technological accumulation and reserves, innovation outputs, and the economic and social benefits of innovation.
