On September 29, 2020, the Company’s fourth Board of Directors approved the “Proposal on Participating in the Investment in Ningbo Weixin New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.” The Company plans to invest RMB 20 million of its own funds in Weixin New Materials through a capital increase and share expansion. Weixin New Materials’ principal business involves the research, development, production, and sales of KrF photoresist resins and monomers. Upon completion of this investment, the Company will hold a 12.12% equity stake in Weixin New Materials and appoint one director to the company. The Weixin New Materials project is expected to have its photoresist resin production line ready for operation by September 2021.
Photosensitizers, photoresist monomers, and photoresist resins are the three major raw materials used in the production of photoresists. Weixin New Materials aims to supply photoresist resins and monomers for manufacturing high-end semiconductor photoresists. Driven by the robust demand for 3D NAND flash memory chips, global market demand for KrF‑based photoresists is expanding rapidly, creating substantial growth opportunities for photoresist resins and monomers.
At the end of August, the company acquired Xuzhou Dajing New Materials. It is currently working full steam ahead to accelerate the implementation of two key projects: the “Xuzhou Dajing New Materials Technology Group Co., Ltd. 1,000‑ton‑per‑year photoresist and supporting reagent project” and the “Dajing Information Chemicals (Xuzhou) Co., Ltd. 600‑ton‑per‑year microelectronics photoresist‑specific photosensitizer project.”
Upon completion of this outbound investment, the Company will engage in deep, synergistic collaboration with Weixin New Materials to jointly advance the localization of photoresist raw materials in China. This investment is aligned with relevant national industrial policies and the Company’s overall development strategy; it will further optimize the industrial footprint, drive technological innovation, bolster growth momentum, and enhance the Company’s overall competitiveness, thereby holding significant strategic importance for its long-term development.
